I am a Mexican writer, translator and language teacher. I received my BA in International Studies from the University of Guadalajara in 2008 and am certified in English by the American tester ETS and in German by the Austrian tester ÖSD.

As a native Spanish translator I have worked on a freelance basis translating from English, German, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish for different companies and agencies worldwide. I have worked steadily as a Spanish translator for the German firm ABAS Software AG since 2008, and as an Adjunct Professor of Foreign Languages at the University of the Valley of Atemajac, Mexico, from 2010 to 2011. Currently I am based in Reykjavík working on my MA in Medieval Studies and Old Norse at the University of Iceland.

As an author I have written some poetry and have appeared sporadically in literary journals in print and online. Some of my poems have been included in two anthologies, one in Mexico and another in Argentina. As a journalist, I have collaborated with the musical webzines Archaic Magazine, Evening of Light and Metal Center. Nowadays I edit and manage the news-site Tiempos Nórdicos, which is the only website available in Spanish sharing current news from northern Europe.
