The origins of Tulkur Language Services date back to 2008, when I started working as a full-time translator for a German software company. After two years in that position, I started offering translation and localization services to companies, agencies, and individuals worldwide. 
 
Both the Faroese tulkur and the Icelandic túlkur mean "interpreter". Tulkur is also an anagram for kultur, namely, "culture" in German, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. I understand that translation is much more than linguistic accuracy: it is dynamic, multilayered intercultural communication.
